EV Belgium (EVB) has several active working groups that regularly address various aspects of new mobility. These working groups meet jointly and report their findings to the Governing Body. With the digitisation of all working groups, members can now participate online, live and interactively. In special cases or on specific occasions, the working groups may also meet in person or in a hybrid format.
With the growing relevance of electromobility, the need for professional exchange has increased exponentially. EVB facilitates this process by organising numerous working groups focusing on various themes such as charging infrastructure, the electricity grid, batteries, safety, green fleets, law, off-highway vehicles, big data, blockchain, public transport and much more.
These working groups offer an ideal opportunity for members to exchange knowledge, network and jointly develop positions, technical advice and policy proposals. In over 100 meetings a year, more than 1,000 participants take part in in-depth discussions on specialist topics relating to new mobility. They contribute to committees and task forces, respond to public consultations and contribute to standardisation initiatives and funding projects.
Thanks to the combined expertise within the working groups, which represent 80–90 per cent of the relevant market participants, EV Belgium is increasingly being consulted by political bodies. To organise our activities, we make use of working groups and sub-groups; during these meetings, our members come together to discuss various topics and policy developments.

In addition to the general working groups, there are also sub-groups within which members address very specific topics. The working groups are actively supported by the EVB board and play a crucial role in the energy and mobility transition process.

In addition, there are also a number of ad hoc task forces active which, together with interested members, follow up on a number of very specific issues (e.g. price transparency, grid flexibility, Wallonia, V2X, tax shift, etc.). These task forces are temporary working groups with a clearly defined objective.

If you have ideas for new working groups or require further details, we would be delighted to hear from you. We will assess the feasibility and, if necessary, set up a new working group.
