We are writing to inform you that an email containing an invoice, appearing to originate from this address, was recently sent without our authorization. This message was not issued by EV Belgium and appears to be the result of email spoofing, in which a sender's address is falsely represented by a third party.
The wrongful email contains the following subject: Openstaande factuur #EVB1086933 – Verzoek tot betaling
We kindly ask that you take the following precautions:
- Do not open any attachments contained in that email.
- Do not click on any links within the message.
- Do not reply to the email.
- Do not proceed with any requested payment.
- Delete the email from your inbox.
If you have already opened the attachment, clicked a link, or provided any personal or financial information in response to that email, please make sure to take the needed steps to protect your own account.
We take this matter seriously and are currently reviewing our security measures to help prevent similar incidents in the future. We apologize for any inconvenience or concern this may have caused.
PS: Please note that any invoice originating from EV Belgium is always formatted in EV Belgium colours and logo (both in PDF and Peppol) and that any invoice sent to Belgian based companies are sent via Peppol (and no longer via email). Wij melden u dat er recent, zonder onze toestemming, een e-mail met een factuur werd verstuurd die afkomstig lijkt te zijn van dit adres. Dit bericht werd niet door EV Belgium verzonden en lijkt het resultaat te zijn van e-mailspoofing, waarbij een derde partij het afzenderadres vervalst.
De frauduleuze e-mail bevat het volgende onderwerp: Openstaande factuur #EVB1086933 – Verzoek tot betaling
Wij verzoeken u vriendelijk om de volgende voorzorgsmaatregelen te nemen:
- Open geen bijlagen die in die e-mail zijn opgenomen.
- Klik niet op links in het bericht.
- Beantwoord de e-mail niet.
- Ga niet in op enige gevraagde betaling.
- Verwijder de e-mail uit uw inbox.
Indien u de bijlage al heeft geopend, op een link heeft geklikt, of persoonlijke of financiële gegevens heeft verstrekt in reactie op deze e-mail, zorg er dan voor dat u de nodige stappen onderneemt om uw eigen account te beveiligen.
Wij nemen deze zaak ernstig en zijn momenteel onze beveiligingsmaatregelen aan het herzien om soortgelijke incidenten in de toekomst te helpen voorkomen. Onze excuses voor het ongemak of de bezorgdheid die dit heeft kunnen veroorzaken.
PS: Gelieve te noteren dat elke factuur afkomstig van EV Belgium steeds is opgemaakt in de kleuren en met het logo van EV Belgium (zowel in PDF als via Peppol), en dat elke factuur verstuurd naar in België gevestigde bedrijven via Peppol wordt verzonden (en niet langer via e-mail). Nous vous informons qu'un e-mail contenant une facture, semblant provenir de cette adresse, a récemment été envoyé sans notre autorisation. Ce message n'a pas été émis par EV Belgium et semble résulter d'une usurpation d'adresse e-mail (« email spoofing »), une pratique par laquelle un tiers falsifie l'adresse de l'expéditeur.
L'e-mail frauduleux contient l'objet suivant : Openstaande factuur #EVB1086933 – Verzoek tot betaling
Nous vous demandons de prendre les précautions suivantes :
- Ne pas ouvrir les pièces jointes contenues dans cet e-mail.
- Ne cliquer sur aucun lien présent dans le message.
- Ne pas répondre à cet e-mail.
- Ne procéder à aucun paiement demandé.
- Supprimer l'e-mail de votre boîte de réception.
Si vous avez déjà ouvert la pièce jointe, cliqué sur un lien, ou communiqué des informations personnelles ou financières en réponse à cet e-mail, veuillez prendre les mesures nécessaires pour protéger votre propre compte.
Nous prenons cette situation très au sérieux et sommes actuellement en train de revoir nos mesures de sécurité afin de prévenir de tels incidents à l'avenir. Nous nous excusons pour la gêne ou l'inquiétude que cela aurait pu occasionner.
PS : Veuillez noter que toute facture émise par EV Belgium est systématiquement mise en forme avec les couleurs et le logo d'EV Belgium (tant au format PDF que via Peppol), et que toute facture adressée à des entreprises basées en Belgique est envoyée via Peppol (et plus par e-mail).
